     Unusual Things Packed in Suitcases
Sometimes you just never know what you're going to find when you open a suitcase.  This is exactly what happened when these 5 suitcases were opened.

    1.  Firstly, and sadly, a drugged tiger cub was packed into a suitcase in an attempt to smuggle him.  Happily he survived.
    2.  Travelodge reported that among the things people left behind in their 460 hotels in 2010 was a suitcase full of artificial legs!  Good news is that all the items not claimed within three months are being donated to Cancer Research UK charity shops across the UK. They expect to raise more than £200,000.
    3.  A lady attending an auction at Burnham Market whilst on holiday in Norfolk won her bid for this funny little suitcase, once the property of Colonel Hallet of Blakeney, Holt.  And what was inside?  Handpainted tins containing herbs, spices, teas and dried fruit!  Read the full details of the unusual suitcase find here.

    4.  The father of one of the pupils from a primary school in Springfield, Pennsylvania, discovered a battered suitcase in a nearby skip.  He was drawn to it as he shared the same middle name as the original suitcase owner.

When he opened the suitcase he discovered it was stuffed full of second world war mementos including Nazi medals, notebooks explaining military procedure, a German dagger, and a 1945 newspaper edition trumpeting the Japanese surrender. It also harboured the war torn love story of the suitcase owner, Rolyan O. Ellsworth.  He was an Air Force member stationed in Germany during World War II and was court-martialed for leaving his post to meet a German woman.  The suitcase was eventually used by the local primary school as part of a project exploring different aspects of the second world war.  Read more about this historical suitcase here.
    5.  Maybe this feature should be 55 unusual suitcases contents as this last item is entitled 51 things I found in my suitcase!
